Chef Robert Briggs Memorial Scholarship

Hyde Park students may apply if they meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed the first term of freshman year,
  • Are studying Culinary Arts,
  • Have a GPA between 2.2 and 3.0,
  • Filed the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need.

Chef Robert Briggs was a culinary instructor at the CIA for more than 25 years and was known for calm patience with his students and excellent technique in the kitchen. Thanks to finishing touches from many of his CIA family, Bob’s book, Low and Slow, was published after his untimely death in 2012.
