Bill Briwa
Bill Briwa, a teacher, colleague, mentor, confidant, and friend to many, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 following an illness.
Chef Briwa brought life to the kitchens of Greystone throughout his 22 years with the CIA. He had an impact on us all; students continued to reach back out to him for guidance long after graduation, and professionals and enthusiasts who had the pleasure of working with him and learning from him would visit him when they came to Napa Valley. As a lasting legacy to Bill, the William Briwa Scholarship Fund has been established to support CIA students at Greystone. Recipients will refine their skills in the kitchen where Bill elevated the culinary arts and join the ranks of those he influenced with his professionalism and generosity.
