Diazgranados Family Foundation Scholarship
Since leaving his native Venezuela more than a decade ago, Danilo Diazgranados has been an independent investor, with a focus on the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors, among others. His current portfolio includes wineries, breweries, hotels and restaurants around the world.
With a deep sense of responsibility to “pay it forward,” Danilo is committed to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs in part by supporting culinary and hospitality education programs.
In 2019, he helped launch the Diplomado de Concina Creative, a training program for aspiring chefs in the Dominican Republic hosted by the INFOTEP School of Hospitality, Gastronomy, and Pastry. This helps young people across the country sharpen their culinary skills, and rewards one exemplary student with a 5-week training course at the Basque Culinary Center in Spain.
The Diazgranados Family Foundation Scholarship supports CIA students through training, but also challenges them on how they themselves will “pay it forward” and use those skills gained to give back to their communities.
