Julia Child Fund at the Boston Foundation Scholarship

Students from any campus in any program may apply if they meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a sophomore, junior, or 1st semester senior in or accepted for a Bachelor’s program,
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher,
  • Must have filed the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need.
  • Preference will be given to a student who is accepted for the GCC trip to France or who has completed a CIA GCC trip to France.

The Julia Child Fund at the Boston Foundation was originally established by Julia Child to support individuals pursuing professional study, research, writing and teaching related to food, wine and the culinary disciplines, with preference to those planning to study in France. The Julia Child Fund at the Boston Foundation Scholarship’s purpose is to support CIA students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any of the CIA’s majors, with a preference for students who are planning to participate or who have participated in the Global Cuisines and Culture trip to France.
