In establishing this scholarship, the CIA firmly believes diversity in race or ethnicity is considered absolutely necessary to align with the CIA’s guiding principle of respect for diversity. While there are over 300 scholarship opportunities currently available to CIA students regardless of gender, race, and/or ethnicity, this scholarship opportunity is offered specifically in order to increase diversity and create the best possible student experience for all students at the CIA. Race and ethnicity will, therefore, be considered flexibly and individually for this scholarship opportunity—and will not be determinative or weighed the same for all individuals of the same race. This scholarship is also subject to periodic review to ensure race is not considered more or longer than necessary to achieve the important goal of increasing diversity at the CIA.
