Our Opportunities

WELCOME BACK TO $HEF!

  • Sign in to $hef using your CIA Main Menu username (not your full e-mail address) and password.
  • Fill out the general application and submit it. If you leave it in a “drafted” state, you will not be considered for any opportunities.
  • After submitting the general application click the “Opportunities” tab. There you will see the choices: Recommended, Ours, and External.
  • Funds awarded through CIA scholarships (“Ours”) will be posted to the 2020-2021 academic year unless otherwise stated.
  • Visit the Student Financial Services portal page for updates and details about postings, tips for finding scholarships and writing your essay, and more!
  • All students are required to complete a new General Application every year. Opening date in 2020 was June 13. Applications can be added or updated at any time during the academic year
  • Opportunities posted in September will be awarded on the Spring semester unless there is still sufficient financial need in the Fall semester.
  • For more news and updates about the $hef site and scholarships, please follow CIA Financial Services on Facebook or Twitter

Notes:

  • “Recommended” are the CIA scholarships that are currently being offered that you meet the criteria for. This is the group you want to concentrate on. If you do not see any “Recommended” opportunities, you are not currently eligible for any CIA scholarships. Please check back again after the next group is posted. Most are posted in June, September, and January. You can follow CIA Financial Services on Facebook or Twitter for updates.
  • “Ours” are all the scholarships that the CIA offers; but they may not be available at all times.
  • “External” are scholarships from external sources other than the CIA that we are aware of. These are updated every few weeks. General information and links are provided for you.
